I'm fairly new to pipe smoking and as such, have had a lot of questions about tobaccos. A very generous member of this forum sent me several samples to try out and see if they were to my liking. I tried about 4 or 5 bowls of each and found they were not to my newbie tastes and discarded them. Now I find out he would like to have them back. I feel terrible about this and I wish I had thought to return what was left of them. He knows who he is and I sincerely hope he accepts my apology.

I received a commissioned pipe in the mail once; opened the box, removed the pipe, and threw the box away. I followed-up with the maker later in the day and he asked if I liked the extra gift that he had included? I replied that I did, but really had no idea what he was talking about. I ran outside around midnight in a rain storm and rummaged through the trash to find the box. I dug further down into the box and found that he had included a second pipe. I emailed him back a couple days later letting him know how much I enjoyed the pipes, just pretending as though I had seen them both all along.
