Been following Jiminks' reviews for a while on TR, he's got my vote.
Jiminks and Pipestud are the members on this forum who I consider to the be the most knowledgeable. I have followed both on TR since 2012. I would consider them both mentors even though I have never interacted with them directly because the wealth of tobacco information they have contributed is so vast and deep. Their reviews gave me a baseline so understood what was good from what was not when I was just starting out. Both have influenced my blend choices tremendously. There is another on TR, but he is not on this forum that is fantastic reviewer, Gentleman Zombie. GZ really knows his Latakia Mixtures.
Any guy that can pick up the different notes and flavors from each component tobacco in a blend gets my vote. We all know who that is....
I don't have good enough taste to say whether somebody else has good taste or not. I do know that none of the guys mentioned in the OP have ever led me astray. (Well, maybe a couple times...). @cigrmaster and @sablebrush52 both periodically post lists of VAs and VAPers that are super helpful. When I was starting out, I printed them up and started checking stuff off. That was how I found most my favorite blends. (Harris, no need to bust out the checkbook. I'll take my compensation for saying something nice about you in Rad Davis pipes, medical weed, lizard skin loafers, and a share in a strip mall.)

For me, he is @cosmicfolklore. I am not talking about someone who has tasted lots of tobacco or who has plenty of experience in blending. Michael has the best taste in tobacco, whatever he likes I like too, so you get the point.

Awww.... Pete doesn't know anything, man. He turned off the TV on game 4 of the World Series a second before the outfield muffed the ball hit to him that turned into two runs scoring, and the Rays making a wild, crazy comeback in the bottom of the 9th inning.

He started smoking a pipe before I was born... in fact, about the time the planet Earth was born! And yeah, I'm going to call him and read this to him. I wish he'd join in on this forum more often. He writes reviews at TR under the name "Big Train".
