Since tobacco has been on my brain(and what's left of it) I thought this might be fun.

Ok real simple, who has the best taste in tobacco on this site. It is a guy like Les Trout who has thousands of blends, Pipestud because he has tried so many. Or could it be the review king Jiminks.
Is it possibly a dark horse like Jesse, or a big mouth like me and Chasingembers? Could it be a blender lke Russ or GL Pease. From what I hear Pease is focused on the vino pretty big time.

I pretty much doubt it is me as I have never tried as many blends as some of these guys, but when it comes to quality, I will stack my cellar against anyone's.

Cosmic, could be in the running with his hundreds of pounds. \This should be interesting, I have an idea who I will note for but not definitively Ok boys and girls, have at it.

I'm flattered to be mentioned, and thank you, but comparatively on the breadth and range of taste in tobacco, my experience is heart felt but much too modest, though I'm glad if I have led some to good blends. I think of jiminks first for his quite vast sampling, and even more so his depth of understanding of any one blend and infinite discernment of flavor profiles. Yipes. But Russ O., G.L. Pease, sable', pipestud, chasingembers who has made us reconsider a number of blends, and a good sized group of others as well have uncovered mysteries and nuances that are invaluable. Thank you to all our resident blend gurus for their expertise and willingness to share.

I believe that jiminks has smoked more variety than any of us. I can’t hang with Greg, because of the latakia. A few years ago, I would be in total agreement with you, Big Guy, but I’ve branched out into some really nice burley blends.

I’d have to say that Cosmic usually posts some good recommendations that I sometimes agree with, when he’s not being an a$$hole. He just needs to be less judgmental and arrogant. He is so damned good looking though!

Best taste in tobacco as in connoisseurship is a completely subjective thing. There is no best.

But if you're speaking to most developed palette on this forum, that belongs to Jim by a light year. Proof of Jim's outstanding ability to discern subtleties lies in the fact that a significant number of blenders send him projects they have in development to get his input. That's a remarkable demonstration of trust and respect by some of the leading creators of the blends we smoke.

You’re too modest, but I’d expect nothing less. You have a real knack for finding those hidden gems. D&R Two Timer, C&D Tuggle Hall, Planta MMXII Ripe Marula, Mixture 79... All great blends, and I’d probably have never tried any of them if I hadn’t read your comments on them. Plus, any man that understands the happiness that is a good Burley blend is a man with a fine palate in my book. ?
