Ok so I received an email from P&C talking about there special Canadian Bakin' Gift Set. It comes with a Brigham Pipe (bent rhodesian, bent dublin, or straight billiard), 2oz each of H&H Grandmas Kitchen, Scotty's Blueberry Pancake, and Limited Edition Vermont Meat Candy, cork knocker (can never have too many right?) Brigham pipe nail, and a 75 ct roll of pipe cleaners. The Vermont Meat Candy is described
''a cavendish thats been given a deep sweet maple flavor, and then a dark burley added thats been fire cured with hickory wood, which delivers the flavor and aroma of hickory smoked bacon''
The VT Meat Candy is ONLY available in this gift set (for now as I assume enough people will beg for it and it will be available again.) I chose the bent dublin as I don't have one, I don't like rhodesians (just my opinion, i know they are very well liked), and I have plenty of straight dublins. Too make sure I received free shipping (why waste $10 in shipping when i can get $25 more in tobacco), I ordered 2oz of Fusilier's Ration, 3.5oz Tin Mac Baren Roll Cake, and 3.5 oz of Mac Baren Dark Twist (none of which i have ever tried.)

This is just a stock photo. As I've been searching for pipes, I've started to be drawn to dublin's

I have learned that the follow up blend to Vermont Meat Candy will be fresh sprig of mint flavored burley complimented by a steamed chestnut english, delivering the flavor and aroma of roasted lamb. :| This blend is open for a name

@lazy...are you being serious? really not sure...but i would try the baccy!!
@josh- downside is you have to buy the gift set for the baccy, which in its defense comes with some decent baccy to try, a PIPE!!, and some other accouterments.

Well, the bacon and sweet maple sounds great...Lamb might be a bit harder to pull off. I was not serious Hawk, but stranger things have happened. In fact I got to experimenting with molasses as a casing last night. Not much success though. Still workin on it. Enjoy that bacon and be sure to give a review. dog. I'm gettin hungry..

I will. planning on opening and trying a few bowls at the B&M to get a good room note opinion and then jarring the rest for who knows when. or maybe smoke it all right away in that new bent dublin of mine!

Hawk was kind enough to send me a sample of Vermont Meat Candy. Although I am not a big Aro fan this stuff isn't too shabby. The casing seems pretty light and it has a nice maple flavor. Not overpowering at all. It smoked dry and cool in my #11 Storient with no goopy after effects. It made for a nice change of pace. Not too bad for an outdoor(I always smoke outdoors unfortunately :( )smoke on a chilly Saturday morning.
