Apple isn't bad. It's just that there is a hell of a lot better for cheaper or same amount of cash.
Yes, Sin. I don't know if the other makers are any better but they are certainly a lot less expensive. I've used both platforms and am not really too computer savvy so my main reasoning for Apple products is the lack of virus problems.

I still maintain, despite all making fun of Apple, that my iPad2 is sexier than any other tablet. :nana:

Sexy and slender - yes. Dual webcams? Creepy. LOL, I have an irrational fear of hackers turning on the webcam and broadcasting me browsing topless over the Internet. I have stickers over the webcam on my personal laptop that I remove only for Skypeing purposes.

I'm afraid that your fear is not too far fetched Cyndi. Anything and everything posted is now catalogued for the world to scrutinize, and as for webcams I'm sure hackers are at everyones doorstep or bedroom for that matter. Yep, it's scary and we must monitor ourselves diligently.

Rushes off to find stickers to adhere to laptop during summer months, have no desire to irreparably damage the retinas of the world. Can't find any stickers, would gum work do ya think?

LOL, gum will work but nothing beats good ole Duck Tape!!! As for the retinas, mine were burned out years ago from reading the small print.

LOL, I wouldn't be surprised. I can only imagine... it sends you random texts of "look behind you, I just saw a spider" and "haven't you seen that guy 7 times this week?"

Levenger, ThinkGeek, and the site sponsors take all my money!
I have the Bomber Jacket Circa (the iPad fits in the front pocket) with the Kyoto discs, about 10 other Circas for other household management things, the red leather card wallet, and custom business cards with the lines to write on on the front and graph paper on the back. Shaun has a green leather circa and the bomber jacket circa with the metal discs. I also have the Thai Pad for easy tablet browsing. ;) They are top of the line with customer service and their leather is exquisite. *sigh* I now want to put in another order...

I have the original 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab. Use it a lot more often than I thought. Originally purchased so the kids could watch videos and play games on the move to NC from Utah. They were too interested in the scenery. I have the Nook app and the Kindle app and read from both regularly. Currently reading The Hobbit on the Nook.
I rooted mine fairly quickly after purchasing it. It was a bit of a problem getting root to take. But, it runs fine now. I have 96 total apps installed but need to weed out the ones I don't use regularly. Angry Birds is a must. All 3 variants. :)
Sitting out back with a pipe and the tablet at night reading or playing games or using the Google Sky Map to view constellations is very enjoyable. Add a cup of coffee and the night is perfect.
