I realized that I made a grave error with one of my Smokingpipes orders. I was checking the tracking of my package diligently (as I sure you understand), and saw that it said delivered today! I rushed off to the Post Office shortly after, but to my dismay I didn't see a card in my mailbox! Turns out I forgot to update my profile and the package got delivered to the post office in the town I moved from....

So now I have to wait until tomorrow to try to figure out a way of getting the parcel. I'll see if a friend can swing by and pick it up, but if not I may be forced to make the 2 hour trip to get it. As long as no one else picks it up and claims it I suppose...

Almost the same thing happened to me, I noticed the old address on the email confirming the order and was able to contact the vendor and get the new address substituted.
Good catch! I am usually pretty good about looking things over twice, but I obviously didn't in this case. Lesson learned I suppose

Since you're making the trip, you should fill out the form to forward your mail. I'm pretty sure there is a form, or put your old post office on notice anyway. That's the thing about moving. You really have to keep up with all your contacts to make sure they have all your new contact info. Between the ages of 19 and 30, I moved a dozen times or more, attending school, in the military, and in early jobs. For a while, my address was an FPO, a fleet (as in ships) post office. Luckily my parents were in the same home for fifty years or more, so that provided an anchor in forwarding some items. Now is the time to update your address with anyone or any organization you care to hear from. A better title would have been: I Blew It! My Changed Address, to cue up the subject better.

Well, if unfortunately you have to drive to get it, just remember to post on the thread “what are you listening in 2022”
Haha, I suppose I would need to do that.

Worse comes to worst you’ll have a handful of sweet traveling hours where you can enjoy a favored blend(s) and just chill listening to your favorite music…not a bad day really?!?‍♂️☕

Alas, I can't smoke in the vehicle! If it was with my truck, then that is a valid option, but it isn't currently reliable enough to venture out that far. We are pretty secluded here, and there isn't really anything but trees for much of the drive.

Well this could get exciting for you. You'd better hope whoever it was delivered to can take a joke. Call them immediately!!
Well luckily I avoided having to do that!
Good luck!
I'd be very surprised if the Canadian (or any) Postal Service would forward a letter—much less a package— on the basis of a phone call. But worth a shot!
You're right, they would not do that willingly. In fact, they didn't answer the phone the half dozen times I tried, nor did they reply to the message I left. In the end my friends wife went in and convinced the workers to give her the package. Of course, she had all the information that I gave her, and the text showing the permission. The workers there knew us quite well, and I played ball with the one worker for a number of years.

So now I must find a time to get out there and pick it up, but at least I know it is safe.
