My tongue is fairly sensitive to the humectant in different tobaccos. When K&K were making Peterson blends, I could not tolerate the humectant in the aromatics, but was fine with Marlin Flake, Peterson Irish Oak, and others that were more naturally oriented. The other day I opened a new tin of Peterson Irish Whiskey from STG, and the humectant was higher than K&K versions. It was ok after mid bowl, so I am going to dry it and see how it works out. Hope this insight helps.
