Thank You guys. I do like that Wilderness. I'm a bit of a clod for the subtleties of smoke but Wilderness has a nice rich spice to it that even I can taste.

I think red belted polypore is indigenous to China and seems it may have been, at least slightly, the source of inspiration for this little smoker:

Great looking pipe. Glad it worked out for you. I recently purchased an hs studio morta pipe from benandci which, according to the tracking info, is now waiting for me at home. Looking forward to smoking it and will report back. I have a poker from this same seller which always smoke great, cool and dry.

My HS Studio morta arrived yesterday and I'm currently enjoying some HH Latakia Flake for its inaugural bowl. So far it smokes cool and dry with no discernible flavor imparted by the pipe itself. Great workmanship though it's a little front heavy for clenching. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

I have one of these pipes and was pleasantly surprised. Light weight, smokes cool and has a very good draw. But!!! I have seen some that don’t look as made with quality. Look carefully and buy at your risk.

So is every billiard shaped pipe a forgery? You bought a pipe because you liked the way it looks, it was probably a 3rd of the cost of an artisan pipe, what's the problem??

I'd rather buy a rip-off than pay some pretentious old-man 600$ for a pipe that took a day to craft.
