I'm originally from the Beaumont area and still have family living in Vidor and Lumberton. I make at least one trip a year to visit.
I don't remember there being any good places to shop for pipes and tobacco in the area so let me know if you find a place.

As to the offerings in JeffCo: Cigar Club, which originated in Lake Charles I think, opened a shop in Beaumont off of Walden Rd. a little while back. The shop is mainly cigar focused, and has a lounge to boot, but the entire front counter is pipe tobacco and the manager is very knowledgeable about the blends and history.
Its been a few years since I've been to the Cigar Club in Lake Charles but they were the same way. Lot's of cigars and a decent selection of pipes and pipe tobacco.
I don't know when I'll be back in Texas but it probably won't be until this summer. I'll try to remember to let you know.
