I just bought a tub of this stuff. So far so good. It is a food grade mixture of beeswax, carnauba, and mineral oil. I've been using it on stummels and vulcanite stems and so far the results have been satisfying. Any thoughts?

I've only just started using it, but it works best after every other smoke or so. I just wipe it on with my finger and buff it a few minutes later. My saliva doesn't seem to penetrate it if used regularly. It won't make the stummel shiny but does provide a nice texture. I have been using just mineral oil, but it doesn't last. The additional waxes seem to help. Try it and let me know what you think.
I love the stuff. Since I wash the exterior and interior of my pipes, after drying I use a tiny bit of that on a rag, to the benefit of both stummel and stem. With buffing, a mild shine appears, especially on older pipes.
I will have to give this a try. I've got a rag that is impregnated with mineral oil that I use to wipe down my pipes before returning them to the rack.
As long as you're happy with the results, congratulations. I like Halcyon and Paragon waxes and will stick with them.
Those both give a superior shine/glow/patina.
I use them rarely as I don't take as fine a care of my gear as some. Well, it's cared for fully, just leaving out the spit and polish.
