Certainly. And I'm all for fun and games but I still think that this is no proper lesson about honesty, which is important. They should be able to teach proper character instead of just putting these things on them like they did with horses in the cavalry. Then again they're kids, they'll respond more to shallow fun or fear than to words about this rather deep subject. But can you treat a kid too much as a kid?Did you guys read the article?
Of course you want to treat a kid sweet but that is one extreme that lacks the other to balance the lesson and the child out.
Many adults in my age range are still spoiled kids and teens brought up by the mother alone, myself included.
I think the strong hand or hard time that brought up the older generations did a lot of good. I'm not talking about regular beatings or a cold and distant attitude either, just some bitter with the sweet. As life will always be bittersweet.
Hats off to any parent, I don't think I could take this kind of responsibility.
