You can always just select view image from the forum album image and copy and paste the web address in the browser bar to the IMG prompt that pops up after clicking on the IMG button above the reply box.

Yep, them sons-of-a-bitches at Photobucket have done it now. I might have been the only guy on a pipe forum still defending them. But, apparently they had a change of policy and don't allow 3rd party hosting (on the free account of course). I'm done with them now, there's no way I would pay for a website with some many issues.
Too bad, it was the only place you could open all pix in an album and with one click, have your link. Guess I'll have to get used to Postimage (which requires multiple windows to get the link and allows no sub albums).
Guess that I have some editing to do this weekend.

This thread reminds me of how many kludges I had to put up with in the 90's to do anything productive on the internet. I can load a picture to Facebook instantly.

I do most of my pipesmagazine-ing on mobile, which presents its own set of challenges trying to accomplish posting a photo. It's doable, but it's even more of a hassle compared to posting from a PC/MAC.

Posting a picture already uploaded to Facebook is a good way to go, those picture's should be there forever, whether you want them there or not.

Maybe photofuckit got hammered with complaints and relented..... For a bit...

Above found on member's site @ photobucket, and posted as an example. Hope he's fine with that; otherwise, mods please delete.

Nice video! It would have saved me the time and effort of writing out instructions, old school. This video was posted while I was on vacation so I wasn't aware of it.
Now, if only the PTB here would post a link to this video, PROMINENTLY, on the main page, then a lot of people would be helped.

Yes, good one, but some prefer written instructions, so your efforts, Jesse, will not be in vain.
One clarification that will save every one a few seconds each posting of photos: You don't need to erase the http// in the IMG box first; it's already highlighted, so you can just past the URL over it. So, three seconds times however many photos and you've got a nice bowlful.

Ok, I edited and added the directions that Jesse posted here to the stickied thread created by jvnshr.
http://pipesmagazine.com/forums/topic/how-to-videos
I'm sure all this will work until once again someone posts "how do you post pictures".....
Thanks for the efforts Jesse & Jvnshr!

And, I also added my updated directions with Screen caps....so all three of the maybe 10 "how to post photos" are now all in one thread.
If someone now asks "how do I...", you may have to hold me back...

Thanks sable. jpmcwjr is totally right, some prefer written instructions, so we appreciate your effort.

You are right, jpm. Although I don't erase the http and use ctrl c/ctrl v instead of right mouse click, I emphasized those 2 actions in the videos to make it more clear. Otherwise, some would get really confused :)
Al, thanks for the effort, great job indeed.

At this point, I just use https://keg.gg/ because all told, it is fewer steps than any other option.
Something else to consider:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/image-upload-for-bbpress/
There is almost certainly an easier (lighter server load) way to implement this.

I used Wordpress for blog entries for the Reborn Pipes blog. It wouldn't be very convenient to use for simply hosting/posting photos. I believe this is a paid site as well.
The Keg link isn't working, do you mean to post a link for SmugMug? (that seems to be the parent site). It looks like that one is not free ($3.99 month for basic). Most of the folks here (self included) seem to desire the free hosting sites. OK, we're cheap bastards.

I would hope that the paid sites function much better.

@jpmcwjr posted some great instructions:
If you want to use the site's album (images tend to be smaller than hosting site's size, but can be full sized if you remove the pixel limitation, -600x360)

1.) Login

2.) Go to My Account (may have hit Home button first) and mouse down to Album.

3.) Choose Upload Picture (navigate to photo you've given a sensible name to), be sure to then hit Upload.

4.) Go back to Album, click on thumbnail to open full size image. Right click (Windows); Control Click (Mac) and select "copy image location" (its URL).

5.) Return to your reply window in the thread and click on the IMG button at the top of the compose window.

7.) Paste the image location into the window and click OK.
OR, using a third party site:
Once your photos are on a photo hosting site (such as Imgur.com; Photobucket; Postimage; Dropbox, etc.), or on virtually any site, select the full image, then Control-click (Mac) or Right-click (Windows) on the image itself, then choose copy image location. Now paste that URL (the full web address, which should end in .jpg) into the IMG box in the reply window of the thread you're posting to.
Sometimes shorter is good too.
