According to Pipestud 400 tins is enough in your collection. I kid you not, he has that many. If Steve reads this thread, maybe he will tell us an exact number.

Harris
Harris, a gentleman never tells.
For those of you who are going to attend the Kansas City Pipe Show in June, they have a fun aged tobacco bar in the smoking tent. I did donate a year 1987 tin of Royal Yacht for this year's show. I put it in the mail and then cried. :(

It's a place where aged people, sometimes called "codgers" or "curmudgeons," smoke tobacco.

I prefer to be known as a codger...a few, think me to be a curmudgeon. Harris is just a cur.
Curmudgeon-
1. Noun
A bad-tempered, difficult, cantankerous person.

History has shown that my liking for RY tends to come and go, so I buy a couple tins at a time. If they ever discontinue it I wouldn't be devastated.

Since Steve refuses to kiss and tell( his way of telling everyone, I have so many old tins, I would blow your minds if I told ya) I will do it for him. I am sure he as at least 100 tins from the 1970's, 100 from the 80's, 100 from the 90's and 100 from the 2000's. His collection of RY tins is the most of anyone living on our planet. If he chose to he could contact Guiness World Records and be put in as the largest collector of RY tobacco.
I am not idly boasting for Steve as I know he will be pissed at me for spilling the beans, but since you are all like family, I decided for Steve that you should all know what the Godfather of RY has in his cellar.

I've managed to pick up a half dozen or so tins over the past few years, but it wasn't until earlier in the week that I cracked my first tin and tried some. The "buy 3 get 1" deal that P&C offers every year is how I unsuspectingly added RY to my cellar. I must have added one or two to my order each time and now I'm sitting on six tins. At any rate...
I found the tin note fantastic and after smoking a few bowls I find I like it okay (3 out of 4 stars). It's not "trade a kidney for some" good, but I'm glad I have a few more tins cellared away for when I feel like it. It is a high quality blend with a good punch.

I still can't help but think that Deathmetal is just trying to hype up random blends to keep Penzance from going out of stock all the time.
