You leave a clause in your will so that in the event of your death, your tobacco and pipes will be stored in your tomb like the pharaohs of old. Or, if you want a viking funeral like I do. You have your loved ones load your boat with your tobacco so that when the fire consumes the vessel the smoke can reach the halls of Valhalla.

I usually just throw a Dunhill tin in my pocket, or if that is too bulky, carry a little tobaco pouch in a back pocket.

If I am going on the road for more than a day or two here is what I travel with.

If I am going just for a day or 2 this is the other bag I have. Both have pouches that are lined with latex.

When I go to work(outside,by myself usually) or the range where I'll be for a few hours I take a duck blind bag that holds two boxes of shotgun shells. It will hold my tobacco pouch with two pipes, several lighters, pipe tool, pkg of pipe cleaners and four tins. Works out real well for me for what I need it for.

Harris, where did you find that large bag? Can you post a link please?
I carry a one pipe pouch with a latex lined tobacco pocket. A nice gift from Bonds of London. I'll also carry a small pelican case just big enough for two pipes. Finally, I'll carry a thin, round tin - usually Escudo - so I don't run out of tobacco. These tins with the screw-on lid seem to keep tobacco pretty fresh for awhile. As such, I tend to smoke a lot of Escudo when traveling.

Guys, I bought that 7 pipe carry case back in 2000 I believe. It is the Sheffield brand and I bought it from smokingpipes.com. It is a full size briefcase and you cannot imagine how much stuff I can pack into it. I can take my lap top, the seven pipes plus another dozen in pipe socks, tons of tobacco and all my accessories. The tobacco pouch which is latex lined snaps into place for easy carrying when I want to take that separately. It is made from really nice soft leather and it has stood the test of time. I paid 299.00 for it way back when which I thought was a hell of a deal.
Now the bad part, I have not seen any of these for sale in years. I know that smoking pipes no longer carries the brand and when I did a recent search a few months ago to see if they were still being made, I came up empty. The only case I have seen that is similar is the smoking holsters case and that puppy is around 800.00. No one is making a full size briefcases for pipes in a reasonable price range anymore which makes no sense.

@sergemoat - that "baccyflap" is amazing!! That is something that suits my taste right there. Have you been successful in completing one on a lathe? I'd love to see what you come up with. I'm a-goin' shoppin!

How to take tobacco with you?

I plan to have my cellar burried with me, if I don't finish it before I go.
But seriously, I use a zippered leather bag with surgical rubber lining. Type on eBay "leather tobacco pouch" and you'll see dozens. Keeps about 4 to 4 bowl's worth fresh for about three days. I also have a bunch of Wunup Baccyflaps, but I like to load & pipe as I drive and its a one hand operation. So the Wunup ain't that useful and so I use the zippered leather.
