How To Repair A Cracked Bowl?

This is my estate handmade Cellini.
I think this will clean up very nicely but there is a good sized crack in the bowl.
What's involved in repairing this so I can smoke it?

Once its thoroughly cleaned, I'd sand it down, do a rim topping, and use superglue for the crack. Then re-stain the whole thing.

The cake on that pipe is astonishingly thick, and I'd be willing to bet was a significant factor in the crack sustained by the bowl. Indeed, there are some cracks starting up at 2, 5, and 7 o'clock. My guess is that it might be possible to glue and clamp it. And in the future ensure that the cake stays at the thickness of a dime.

Is this a standard and typical repair for any pipe repair service or will this require a specialist. From your descriptions it first sound too bad

It looks like a pipe Stalin smoked. Churchill used to send him Dunhills, lots of Dunhills. Stalin smoked them furiously and never cleaned them. Just smoked them until they were ruined and started in on another. To quote Mel Brooks, "It's good to be the king!"
To help with your question, super glue is a fix. A really good pipe surgeon will clean the pipe, mostly likely sand it down and then refinish. It'll look like new and will not be inexpensive.

The words "try a different pipe" occur to me. But for many, this is an attractive challenge and you may end up getting

years of good smoking out of it. It just doesn't draw me to the project, sort of like cleaning someone else's mess.

Joe was, but at the time, he was the allies' sociopath, so Churchill was going to keep him warmed up. Winston

was, among other things, a master wangler. What were a few Dunhills to him? Likely he appealed to Dunhill

to supply these as part of the war effort. Winston had gin to buy, not to mention cigars.

Cracks are a common repair problem, not just on pipes, but on other things, too, like sidewalks and buildings. When I lived in the city, the usual fix for an old brick rowhouse with a big-assed crack down the front was to stucco the whole house, then sell it. That might work for your pipe, too.

Here is second suggestions, JB Weld, and just think i have thrown them away with this problem.

Obviously the super glue is a glue, but as far as it's about the chamber I am not sure. It's not healthy enough to fix something inside the chamber with any chemical substances...
Another question if it's a single issue with the pipe? I would firstly ream and clean it and the it will be more visible if there's a sense to do anything.

Super glue and clamp it on the outside of the bowl. Very thin coating of JB Weld on the crack on the inside of the bowl. Seals it at both ends of the crack.

Jb weld at same time as gluing outside or as the next step?

Just use a large hose clamp to hold the whole thing together. Should it begin to separate upon smoking, why, simply tighten the screw.
