Just in case anyone is wondering and/or my words lost something in the written form; what I meant when I said "What company are you used to keeping?" is, I meant that the company that I keep don't look down on people and consider them a different class.
If someone (doesn't matter who he/she is or where they're from) were to want to start smoking pipes, the company that I keep would be quick to help them on their journey. Not turn up their/our nose and say "associating with them is a steep dive indeed."
