How to kill a ghost

I dont smoke alot of arros but i smoked some 1Q out of one of my pipes. I just smoked a bowl of a va/per out of it and the hole damn bowl tasted like vanilla. Should i just smoke it out with regular tobacco or is there a better way? Am I just stuck with a arro pipe?

Seriously, just smoke your preferred tobacco in that pipe for 3-5 bowls, and the ghost should be gone. at least enough to enjoy other flavors

Ask Don Knotts.
Unless you dipped your pipe in vanilla it'll take about three to four bowls. If that doesn't work you can retort the pipe with alcohol.

If the ghost proves stubborn, fellow forum members once suggested Carter Hall for a personal demon I had clinging to a pipe, and it worked like Holy Water.

If I have a ghosted pipe or a pipe that has gone sour over time I just do a salt/alcohol treatment on it can it usually takes care of it. I only had 1 pipe that I could not get rid of the ghost. That pipe was previously smoked heavily with Lakeland blends and after 3 salt/alcohol treatments I gave up on it and sold it on ebay.

Running an alcohol soaked pipe cleaner down the stem followed by a dry one speeds up the process, then of course a couple of bowls of a tobacco of your choosing as mentioned above. Ghosts like to haunt stems too! 8O

Used coffee grounds can neutralize a Lakeland poltergeist. :wink:

agree, if it's really ghosted then a salt bath and retort my be needed

Smoke some Condor plug in it. That will kill the vanilla like nothing else.

Count your blessings Rod, I smoked a bowl of G Pease Fillmore and subsequently ghosted my pipe with Latakia...and I hate Latakia!
I wouldn't have minded so much if the Latakia component was mentioned on the tin but it wasn't :evil:

I guess Ill be smoking my can of fillmore from my cobs. i love latakia just not in my virginia pipes. Though i have enough carter hall to bust some ghosts.
