Don"t really need to...it's just on the surface and will be a great pipe...but in good conscience, I couldn't take 20 bags of Stonehaven from Harris for a pipe with a crack in it,,,

Well, then you didn't destroy it? If I ever order a bespoke smooth, it will be with under the condition that pits be left as is. Following that view, the cracks adds character that the pipe would otherwise lack. Following that, you thus have a thoroughbred at the top of its form rather than a colt?

Zack, you know I am blind, I would probably never have seen that crack. Should have polished it up and bet I wouldn't see it.
