How to date a Sutliff tin?

I have some tins of Crumble Kake I would like to date. (Yes, I know, Chocolates and flowers work wonders) ... Under the bar cods, there is 8 49855 00662 7. In the small print, there is TP-VA 15009. Can anyone help?

Thank you ... but I am pulling my hair out and yelling at the guy to hurry up and get on with it. When I can be far more patient and have the time and something to drink, I will go through the video and somehow record what he says onto something graphical that everyone can use as a reference ...

Fast forward is your friend. I fast forward to the chart he posts after discussing each maker. That chart is a breakdown of the dating and other manufacturing info.

Correction, the list he gives in the description only states when the discussion of each manufacturer begins. The actual charts are found at these timestamps:

That said, since Sutliff is a Mac Baren company, it's possible they might use a similar dating convention? The code you provided though doesn't appear to match those conventions, and just appears to be a bar code number, which might not even contain any manufacture date information.

How to date a Sutliff tin? I use an ink pen. When I buy it, I mark the purchase date on the back... Less accurate, but it works. I don't expect that many Sutliff tins I buy have significant age on them, if they do then yay me when I finally open it. If someone is certain about the barcode number containing a code that uses a Mac Baren system, I'll be taking notes...
