Fast forward is your friend. I fast forward to the chart he posts after discussing each maker. That chart is a breakdown of the dating and other manufacturing info.Thank you ... but I am pulling my hair out and yelling at the guy to hurry up and get on with it. When I can be far more patient and have the time and something to drink, I will go through the video and somehow record what he says onto something graphical that everyone can use as a reference ...
Easier to have someone else do your homework for you.Fast forward is your friend. I fast forward to the chart he posts after discussing each maker. That chart is a breakdown of the dating and other manufacturing info.
There's a guide in the video description showing where in the video the charts are:
TABLE OF CONTENTS: 1. Intro 2. DUNHILL (02:50) 3. ORLIK/SCANDINAVIAN TOBACCO GROUP (06:29) 4. SAMUEL GAWITH & GAWITH HOGGARTH (09:04) 5. MAC BAREN (12:35) 6. KOHLHASE & KOPP (14:31) 7. PLANTA (16:54) 8. DAN TOBACCO (20:00) 9. MCCLELLAND (21:35) 10. CORNELL & DIEHL and G. L. PEASE (23:45) Day Numbers https://www.epochconverter.com/days/2017
Unfortunately though Sutliff doesn't appear there.
I take it you never really received any clarity on this? The MacBaren example the guy shows has a set of numbers my Sutliff tin does not have. My tin of Crumble Kake has the exact same bar code numbers that you are showing. That tells me that the code represents a product number and nothing else. One would think for quality sake a company would want to know when their products were made? I guess we won’t have to worry about it moving forward, because STG will most likely use their code system.I have some tins of Crumble Kake I would like to date. (Yes, I know, Chocolates and flowers work wonders) ... Under the bar cods, there is 8 49855 00662 7. In the small print, there is TP-VA 15009. Can anyone help?
