For all the geeks out there, here's how to activate GodMode in Windows 7.
Right click the desktop and select New, Folder. Name the folder (no spaces):
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
Watch the icon change and fire it up! It's pretty cool.

Just set this up on both my laptop and net book. I like having these controls in one plac and easy to find.
Thanks

Many things to do with operations of your computer. I had to look it up to see if I wanted to add it.

Does the code in brackets need the brackets in the folder?
I just copied and pasted it when I renamed the folder exactly how it was typed in the OP and it worked fine.

Kevin, that was awesome!
tanless, it's not that it's omnipotent, it just puts a lot of user controls in one place so you don't have to navigate to them. For example, from one icon, you can:
Run system restore

Create and format partitions

View event logs

Edit group policies

Restore backups

Set the time and date

Manage your gadgets

Add a printer

Setup multiple monitors

Show hidden files and folders

Change IE's security settings

Delete your cookies and temp files
Etc etc etc. GodMode is misleading. It just allows you to access a whole host of administrator functions from a single place. If you're a tech, don't get too used to using it, because you can easily forget where to find something on a clients' computer!
