In PA here and since it's the winter I smoke only about a tin a month right now. The summer is coming so I hope to smoke much more. I retire next year so then I should be putting the pedal to the metal, I can't wait.

200 to 250 grams a month, and that's mostly due to being able to smoke at work. Just can't picture a pound a month, after four or five Group 3 bowls I'm pretty much smoked out for the day.

rc, I must confess I'm old school. I retired several years ago and now I pretty much have my pipe handy all the time. I'll smoke it a bit and then let it go out, them smoke up the last of the bowl. That goes on all day and into the evening. I seldom smoke a bowl from start to finish, It's more like I make my way through it over time and then load it again. I first smoked a pipe back in the early sixties ( well I already gave it away when I said I had retired!) That's how all the old timers did back then it so I always thought that was the way you smoked a pipe. As I think back I can't remember some of them without a pipe hanging out of their face. They would puff a little bit, stop, and a little later fire it up again and smoke a little more.

About a tin a month, maybe two months. I'm a weekend pipe/cigar or both type of guy and usually use nasal snuff during the week. I do carry a pipe kit always :puffpipe: and occasionally partake during the week though.

70 or so bowls a week? How much is that? I just read that an average bowl contains about 3 gms.

Holy Mackeral! Almost 2lbs a month? Crikey! No wonder I keep getting anxious when a tub in my rotation gets below the halfway mark.

Amiright? 3 gms a bowl?

Maybe an ounce. Sad but true. By the time I get home from work, have supper, put the kids to bed, and talk to my wife...its usually too cold. It will start warming up and I'll hit about 5 months of smoking glory :)
Last night, had it not been snowing, I might have smoked...except I had to prep a presentation for 2 hours.

I had to do the math... Didn't take long as I only smoke around 25 grams a month which is under an ounce. No wonder my tins last a while.

I average about a pound per month. A little less in the cold weather, a little more in the warm weather.

Since I retired about 90 days ago, I would say I probably smoke about 3/4 to 1 pound a month. Mostly aros that I've blended for myself but some Va/Per also. Love the Flakes

Same here, about 3/4 a month. It's hard to be certain because I choose between bulks like Trout Stream and Red Cake and tins. I also realized I rarely get through an entire bowl without something getting in the way, so it takes a while to get through a bowl. I used to think I smoked 10-15 bowls a day, but in reality it's probably more like 8 bowls. I still love the aros--MacBaren makes some great ones like Cherry Ambrosia--along with some Sutliff (I'm mildly addicted to Molto Dolce) but equal it out with Red Cake.

I have to smoke outdoors for several reasons, so here in Missouri it does depend a lot on the weather.
Dead of winter: 6 oz. per month

Rest of the year: 12-16 oz. per month
