Is there a master list of expected extinct tobaccos?
I recalled seeing a post in a thread, a while back, where somebody included a link to tobaccoreviews.com archives from 2007, and I somehow managed to find it again. Shame on me for not bookmarking it the first time.
Another thing I've been doing is going to the current tobaccoreviews.com and checking the oldest reviews for certain blends.

I have enough to see me to the grave, about 100 lbs. I'm in my mid 60's and don't smoke all that much, so this should hold me for awhile. Figure out how long a tin lasts you and do a little math. Most people smoke between 3 and 4 pounds a year, some less, others more. Then take a guess at how long you have till your pull date and go from there.

Don't let the pre/post 2007 thing lull you to sleep. The FDA has made clear that they intend to eventually bring the hammer down on ALL pipe tobacco.

I am in my 70's, so have to take that into account.

Get out! I would have said that you were at least 10 years younger. So you will live into your 90's, with ease. Better start hoarding!

I think "Mr. WalkBack" will forward the ship with the FDA, he's beginning to refram from calling Man-made Climate Change a hoax, now claiming "nobody knows". Do the math. I always said you have to support a candidate who will lead the way to the abolishment of these 4th Branches of government, but damn, Little Pipe tobacco has to be doing better now than ever.

I probably have about 50 pounds. I'm not really sure. I have been buying a pound at a time recently. I have been at this for 5 years so I can guess pretty well what I will like even if I haven't bought it before. I am also buying plenty of plain burley so I can just mix anything I don't like with it to make it smoke able for myself.
At a few bowls a week currently. It seems impossible for me to every get through what I have. I will get some D&R pounds as well for mixing.

As for D&R mixers...I can vouch for PenHooker, TwoTimer and Picayune as excellent for the purpose.

Others of their line may be just as versatile. I have yet to try Wind Sail or a couple of the other bulk offerings.

JimInks has reviews on several of these, and he's on the mark as usual.

I have the A.P. and the S.J. and they are both enjoyed daily. I have a couple other of their flavors..Ryback Gold, Athey, both nice smokes. D&R is the best value in tobacco that I've found.

I feel like Mr. Ryan knows his stuff, and have confidence in his products.

I wish I could afford to try some of his high dollar exotics, and collaborations with Russ Oulette.

I guess I could, if I really wanted to get off the dime, but, I feel as if these costly tinned confections are a slippery slope best avoided if I can be satisfied with more economical, yet high quality leaf.

(Firestorm, by Russ, is one of the best tobaccos you could ever smoke, imho)

I am not sure of your source for that statement, but they cannot do that without Congressional authorization. And removing the "grandfather date" would make Big Tobacco very unhappy. The law was written so that it protected Big Tobacco from competition.

I have about 70lbs and I don't smoke all that much so I am probably ok as it is.
But tobacco will never be cheaper than it is today, and if you are a Va, Vaper smoker it will only get better with age.

I see 10 lbs, 70 lbs, 200 lbs, hell even 400 lbs. Simply put, we will not be satisfied until we have it all. Like the conversation I had with a little shop in Chicago this past weekend.
Self, "Do you have and Dan T The Mellow Mallard?"

Chicago, " Yes we do."

Self, "How many?"

Chicago, "We have 19."

Self, " I'll take it."

Chicago, "How many."

Self, " ALL OF IT "
You will not have enough until you have it all.
