After reading this thread…I should probably run away from this hobby. It’s like there are red flags but, instead of seeing them as warning signs, they are just waved at one another as a sign of greeting. I’m both impressed and terrified at the same time; as I’m checking sales and new stock online 🤣

It’s not the tobacco that gets you, it’s the adjunct shit. Ask me why I now have a collection of fountain pens…

At my current smoke rate of 1.25lbs a year my current stash will last 37.6 years. I do expect my consumption rate to increase considerably when I retire In 14 years. I also expect prices to go up and want to be in a position where I will not have to buy any after I retire. Although I am sure I will just have to try the latest small batch releases from time to time 🤦‍♂️

I was also amazed at how much prices went up on some blends in the last 4 years. Not to mention the Michigan 30% excise tax that went into effect .

I agree with everything you said and am in a virtually similar position across the board, except for I have a longer time to retire.

It must be in the water, since I'm not too far from your location.
