I apologize from everyone for any inconvenience I caused. That wasn't my intention. I have been a year here and never entered to a discussion like this. A guy like me from a 3rd world country doesn't see an MIT graduate everyday to discuss Physicfcfxsdcdss, sorry, I just can't stop laughing. But, really, my apologies.

Jvnshr- I got no beef with you. You seem cool.
I didn't say a single word to you, mayfair. We are cool. I am not a Physics teacher or a student, I just discuss Physics every other day at work with a colleague of mine. We do lots of experiments, discuss theories, etc. It is just a hobby of mine. I am mostly interested in Quantum Mechanics, so my Classical Mechanics knowledge might be limited. Cheers.

Wow. I am not going to participate in this back and forth rubbish when this could have been (and was) a very nice thread with real purpose. I will just try to say one last time for anyone really wanting to know, put into the simplest of terms that weight is not a measurement of force but a measurement of mass.
Since gravity is the constant at a fixed location then the variable is the mass, and "weight" is simply the measurement.
G'night.
PS: And Mayfair, yes, however this group may force me to end up appearing, in reality, that is not how I am.
PPS: And JV, I have seen nothing you need to apologize for!
