In multiple choice questions, my favorite answer is usually "all of the above". (Un)fortunately, in this case, especially since Pec and C'master haven't kicked in yet, my hoard (hesitate to term it a collection, since it is rather random) just might exceed the sum total of respondees so far. As for the total number of blends, I am now needing to revisit my poor abused Excel to add more worksheets, since my last few TADs will push my count over 1500. All of these FDA-inspired introductions have kicked my (ab)normal TAD into the next orbit. Also, the closing of blenders like Grant's, GQ, Chief Catoonah, and P&W have pushed me into ordering spreads of their blends to assess whether I want/need to load up on some. Another unhelpful factor is the change in the murky EU/UK regulations which may put some of the fine blenders there in a poorer position to ship to me in the US.
My previous project was to demote enough of my open blends (not all of the 1500 have been popped yet) out of the Top200 Cellar. I'm having such limited success, exacerbated by the plethora of new FDA-inspired blends, that by New Year's Resolution time, I need to either admit defeat and raise the Cellar ceiling from 200 to maybe 250 or even 300. As it is, my Top200 has 288 inhabitants, each of which has a dozen or more tins, or pounds representing them. Now, to be fair, few of my Cellar residents manifest in Peckian proportions: only a few blends have more than 5 lbs. In effect, I am trying to get down to a rotation of 200, or whatever ceiling I manage to drop down to.
It's a tough job, but someone has to do it...
