How many times can you smoke the same pipe in a day?

I have one pipe that smokes well enough but I don't really care about it and I smoke it probably 5 to 6 times a day... it really just depends on how much you like the specific pipe and how long you can let that pipe rest.
smoke a pipe twice let it rest for 2, 3 times let it rest 3 days, and so on and so on...

I smoke mine as often as I wish.But-I dry my tobacco for an hour or so before packing it and I smoke it real slow for a cool smoke.Not a lot of drying needed after that.

I was taught that as long as a pipe smokes dry you can keep smoking it.
I had done an experiment on this, I made a pipe that was a reject. I finished it and smoked it for 1 month and 1 week everyday 5-10 times a day. It was the only pipe I smoked in that time period. It never soured or smoked wet (I do tend to smoke slow though) and I havent ever had any problems with it at all. I did have to reem it after the 5 weeks though! LOL

The accepted belief among pipe smokers these days is smoke it once and rack it. I find however that it depends on the pipe, if it smokes dry, keep smoking it, once it gets wet in the heel though, then I rack it. But there are no die hard rules. It used to be old codgers would smoke the same pipe day in and day out.
