30+ and closing in on 40 briar. Plus 2 meers, 2 cobs, and 6 "spare" brand new cobs to grab for a new blend or share with someone intrigued by the craft.
At least 10 of them (briar) I haven't smoked yet, several of those are brand new, although most were pre-owned.
I've got the PAD, but it's an acceptable issue now as I'm learning that some of the best smokers (for me) are sometimes the ridiculously inexpensive ones.
Also learning which particular pipe characteristics seem to work with my smoking "style" or cadence or whatever, but as time goes on I find that I have problems with fewer and fewer pipes. (Could have something to do with my improvement and understanding in my tobacco preparation.)
Down the road I'll cut out the ones that are average or less appealing to me and let them find new homes. I already have a 7 pipe rack that is accumulating those that may move on sooner rather than later. And I already let 3 of them go that no matter what I did I just couldn't get an enjoyable bowl out of - in exchange for a brand new basket pipe. A little nose warmer that was hand carved because I can see it's out-of-round, but it's rather cute and I hope I find a tobacco it loves. Most of the new ones are waiting for something special to happen ...
