I have acrylic, vulcanite, cumberland and bamboo. I do not clench. They all taste the same to me.

I've been known to inhale whole chocolate meringue pies in a single breath, too!

I'm the same way. I don't need them to be artisan-grade thin, but if the stem isn't comfortable I'm not interested.

And I'm a clencher, so that means I almost never buy pipes with acrylic stems.
