I put the can under my arm while I wait for the lighter to cool down. I think “blast” is the better word to use. Get a cheap triple cigar torch with a transparent tank and you’ll see what we mean.
I have one of those transparent tank torches somewhere.
I used it on a possible ebony wood cheap Chang Feng pipe and got nausea. Ultimately I gave up using both the pipe and the torch.

Thanks very much to you and everyone on the thread for all these tips.

This evening I used a paperclip to purge the air and liquid from the Clipper. I held the Clipper rightside up, pushed the paperclip wire right into the refill hole and liquid spurted out. I did the same thing with it upside down.

Next I set the lighter's switch all the way to the right, the smallest flame size setting. I read that you should do this to better refill a lighter.

Then I pumped the Butane can like @daveinlax suggested, holding it under my arm while putting the Clipper in the Freezer for 15 minutes.

Then I held the Clipper upside down and put the Butane nozzle directly down into the refill hole and counted to 6. That seemed to go fine. Then I tried to refilled it the same way for another six seconds but liquid started fizzing out quickly and the Clipper's black rubber refill hole ring jumped out when I pulled out the metal nozzle. I reinserted the little ring, but the tiny metal refill pipe inside of it looked alittle uneven.

Then I refilled the Clipper again with the plastic adaptor on and the adaptor made the nozzle fit better.

After all of this, finally the Clipper has a normal size flame and has been refilled.

Thanks to everyone for your help. These were good tips, especially the freezer and arm pump method.
