How do You Decide on New Pipe Purchases?

Wondering on how others decide on a new purchase. My state of Nebraska is a desert of b&m's, so I have to buy online.

Beside makes/artists, what boxes do like to check off before a buy?

I prefer Pipes by Lee in high condition and under $30, which is most of ‘em.

But in the last few weeks I’ve bought quite a few pipes that weren’t by Lee.

For example, I just paid $12.50 delivered for this nice example of an Egg, or maybe a big Billiard, it’s sorta hard to tell.



My wife’s coming home bringing a fried chicken supper that cost maybe twice $12.50.

We are privileged to be pipe smokers today.

As a percentage of income, a good briar pipe today is at historical lows.
