I have a convenient pipe holder between my glutes. Sure, I walk a bit goofy, can't sit properly, and the stem tastes a bit funny sometimes, but it's convenient and the pipe is well-protected by my ample fundament.

Actually, no, I just stick a couple Al Pascia Curvys in my Curvy casual bag and chuck it into my Timbuk2 medium man purse messenger bag. They're great out and about pipes, and the rest of them stay at home.

I have a couple of the "pipe socks" from Al Pascia - their leather work is pretty decent and if you're picking up a pipe from them it could be worth adding one in your basket:

Pretty convenient to just zip it up and pocket it immediately if you're ducking into somewhere that doesn't allow smoking.

The lighter is not nearly as exciting as advertised.

Two pipe carry bag with room for the essentials. Simple works. My cigar travel cases also come in handy as well.

I always have a backpack with me, and in the lowest front pocket I carry a small faux leather pouch that holds two pipes, a pouch of tobacco, 2 metal pipe brush/cleaners, a small lighter and pipe tool. Been doing that for years!

In the CupHolder in the Truck. Never smoke in the truck though, only in the garage or at the gun club, so they dont leave the property very much.

I wrap the pipe in a handkerchief and stuff in one of the side pockets of the backpack w/ pipe cleaners. Tobacco goes in the opposite pocket along with a lighter and tools.

I'm hesitant to pocket carry after I snapped the stem on a pipe with a lot of sentimental value while doing so (in a coat's chest pocket, no less).

A military mount or a spigot would be a good match for you.

I don't carry a pipe around very much, but when I do, I usually keep it in my hand and park it somewhere that seems safe, in the car cup holder or even on an inconspicuous window ledge going into a store. I have a nice leather pipe case that will carry churchwardens and shorter pipes. For travel, I resort to an inexpensive nylon shaving bag that looks mundane and therefore not tempting theft; it holds several pipes, a few blends, pipe cleaners, and a pipe tool. I've never done it with a pipe, but I once buried a pocket knife in a garden bed to go through security and claimed it later. Worked fine.
