Title changed- capitalization of major words.

How do you carry your pipe when out and about or working?
I shove mine in my belt, left side cross draw style. Putting it in my jeans pocket will lead to a broken stem and it falls out of my shirt pocket.

I usually have a hoodie on or my backpack close at hand so I'm good with a leather bag. It's a small possibles bag I won at a black powder shoot last year. I like it because I can put my pipe in the bag while it's still lit and stuff it in my hoodie or backpack and it's fine. I also have a few cleaners in there too. That's just for work though. I'll usually stuff my pipe in my vest pocket when out of the house.

Oh and just to smash any misconceptions; it's a cutoff denim vest.

I remember the senior veterinarian in the Masterpiece series, All Creatures Great and Small, carried his in his coat jacket breast pocket. I would tend to do that or in my work pants front empty pocket. That said, I don't find a need to carry one.

Out of the few pipes I have there are 2 briars that I don’t care about scratching so I just throw one of them in the front pouch of my backpack then grab a cob full of Crooner and hit the road, I leave the cob in the car door all day. If I want to bring a pipe and keep it protected then I use a leather pouch.

With my thumb wrapped around the back of the bowl and over the shank, and my index finger wrapped around the front. Other fingers curled like a fist to support the heel.
Or clenched in my mouth when I'm not busy talking shit.

? But seriously, I use an old eye-glasses case or a swanky plush padded bowl-bag I got from a headshop when I was in college... it was made for another kind of pipe made out of colored handblown glass, but it works great for large or odd shaped pipes that don't fit in a glasses case.
