How do You Brew Tea?

"Are there any tea drinkers out there? Do you drink tea from a teapot or simply brew it in a mug?"

I have always used a mug to make tea. Recently, I want to change my lifestyle and want to buy a teapot. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I’m getting into tea also and I’m still using a mug with loose leaf and a strainer. I want to upgrade soon, I’m really getting into the flavors. Recently I’ve tried a few but so far my favorite is Golden Assam. Looking forward to others suggestions.

I currently use a large mug or a mug with an infuser if doing loose leaf teas. Golden Assam and Pu’erh mostly and a Lemon Ginger at night.
I need to step up my game.

I quit drinking coffee yesterday, but I've been tempted to drink it right out of the pot before.

Using a mesh ball or similar in a mug is almost as good -- no judgement there -- but I do like steeping the loose leaf in a pot and pouring into the cup through a strainer.

Granted this leaves more to clean up, and getting all the old wet leaves washed out of the pot is sometimes annoying.

And, if someone hands me a cup of unsweetened tea, I set the cup down and never pick it up again.

Funny story, I belong to a collective of artists who pooled our resources to buy studio space in the city and five very expensive intaglio presses. And a friend, and fellow member, is this 60 year old British lady. She came out of the back room with a coffee cup, so I asked her if there was more. She said sure, do you like cream and sugar, I was like no, I like mine black.

She brings me a coffee cup and I take a sip expecting coffee, and spray the room with this bitter weak assed tasting stuff. And, then laughed. with the back and forth on the conversation, I never assumed it was hot tea she was making and drinking. I've never seen anyone actually drink hot tea in Alabama. Seemed very weird to me.

we like it iced with just enough sugar to take the edge off, and I prefer a sprig of mint and lots of lemons. Basically lemonade. Lemonade with just a touch of caffeine. Otherwise, maybe it's more fair to say that I just don't like tea.

Love sweet iced tea with lots of mint leaves. In PA it's made just with mint and called "Meadow Tea."

I drink one cup of coffee in the morning and a cup of tea after dinner each night. I rarely deviate from that. So I brew in the mug. I drink a couple of Earl Grey versions almost exclusively I get from Adagio Teas.

I drink tea bags. Yorkshire Gold. Used to be PG Tips, but pyramid bags are hard to find, and price has shot up. 5 min in warmed mug with milk and Splenda.

In a 2 quart measuring cup with a gallon sized Lipton one gallon iced tea bag. Every other day it seems during summer. Hot tea? Winter only, two tea bags in a mug, steep in near boiling water until the color is right.

Bags (Russian Caravan or Oolong), or brew a little pot of it (whatever looseleaf I have, usually green or Assam).
No cream, very rarely sugar (only with the Assam).

Nearly a decade ago I picked up a bag of Russian stuff that was sitting on the "Free for any takers foreign stuff" table in the section of the library that was used for ESL tutoring (I was volunteering at the time), and have been kicking myself over since for not keeping the bag because it was good stuff and I want some more.
Had some little pieces of dried fruit in it, I think.

Once we patent our design, the world will be a better place I think.
