No one can dispute the most minute detail of my cellar list because I don't have one. I just sift through some dusty tins and find the most wonderful surprises.

Mine is accurate (I think). The hardest part of keeping an accurate list is systematically adding stuff to the list as I purchase new tobacco. I think I've kept up with that.... 'think' being the operative word.

The only blends I haven't added to my list are the McClellands that I have. I won't be buying more, so that data has no use to me.

The best part of having an accurate inventory, for me, is that I know exactly what to do when somebody puts something on sale.

Mine is on Numbers (the mac spreadsheet) and on the cloud so it updates to all my iThings, which allows me to update it wherever, whenever. So I believe it's completely accurate and up to date.

I only have about 30lb at the moment and I keep track of it on tobaccocellar.com, thepipetool.com and also a hand written filing system with total blends, individual food groups ie straight Virginias, Vaburs, Aros AND individual makers such as Gawith, Mac Baren etc.
And before anyone says it I'm well aware I definitely need to get out more.
Seriously though because I started all 3 right at the beginning it's not too difficult, I just add as I go along.
The reason I use 3 is in case the websites/apps disappear for some reason I've then got a hard copy. For day to day checking of what I've got I use tobaccocellar.com as I find that's the most user friendly, well to me anyway.

Exactly, for the same reason I don't have a "closet list" either. I just open up the closet and say "here's my good comfy blue shirt" or "oh I forgot I had this cool sweater."

Belt and suspenders approach. I love it!

You guys really keep a list or an Excel spreadsheet? I can't tell if you're being serious or this entire thread is just sarcasm.
100% serious I'm afraid. To be honest I should've just kept a hard copy and used either tobaccocellar.com or thepipetool.com, all 3 was probably a little bit of overkill. The trouble is once I started I couldn't stop and now it's too late.
Still it gives me something to do other than tickling the cat or whatever and if there's a nuclear war and the internet goes down I'll still have my hard copy! So I'll know exactly which tobaccos I've got as I die from radiation poisoning.
Winning!
