"The palate is the upper portion, or the roof, of the mouth, and gives rise to comments about tastes. A pallet is a wooden frame generally for storing and moving stacked goods."
Well said that man. It is astonishing how often this blatant error is made, strangely enough by tobacco reviewers. Another is 'bowel' as in "I got to the end of the bowel..".
Samuel Johnson would be spinning in his grave.

All I know is that given the variables both with the tobacco, the pipe and the person, I am often surprised at how some people rail against various blends after one puff or bowl, most commonly aros and Lakelands. Lots of people like Billy Bud; I hated the stuff but kept it and am not giving up on it. I figure if others like it, it is only a matter of time until I find out why.
Or take SPC Mississippi River what I consider my favorite blend ...
Another blend I tried a couple of tins of and found almost no flavor. Nothing. Like hot air. There was one puff that kinda tasted like something. Maybe one day I'll try it again . . .
Stuff sure looks tasty in the can!
