It's back! Great so far, but as a mandolin player I must say I feel left out that the southern civil war reenactor is playing a fiddle and not a cool vintage mando...

My wife and I love the series but I guess we haven't watched enough episodes this season to know what you are referring to

We watched Episode 1 last night, it was outstanding, what a start!

If you haven't seen Season 1, do so without delay, it really is an excellent show.
Watch for the Underwoods new driver in the next episode. He is one of our restaurant managers who is also an aspiring actor. He shot some scenes with Spacey and got to talk to him about acting, what an opportunity for him.
My wife works for a Maryland State Senator, which doesn't have nearly as much intrigue. Ok, there's no intrigue. They shot some of the "House" scenes at the Annapolis State House. My wife is hoping she'll turn up in some of the crowd/spectator scenes as she was working in Annapolis while they were shooting.

It is a great series. I find Underwood very interesting and I sometimes wish our own representatives were that clever! As an after thought his wife is pretty hot too!

ithelouniverse, What maker of mandolin do you play/prefer? My wife bought this Breedlove that was made in Oregon.

That's a top shelf mando there sir! Breedlove makes killer stuff all the way around. My #1 for years was a 1920 Gibson A style factory second with a soundhole instead of F holes. The original owners grandson tracked it down and I felt obligated to give it back to the family considering I got it for free in a storage unit at a recording studio my friend owns. Right now I have a Gretsch New Yorker that I love. I looked for months and it was the closest neck to my old one. A Breedlove is on my list, as well as an octave mando at some point...

Good of you to give that heirloom back to a family member. Good karma!
We had been shopping for a long time when that Breedlove came up for sale on Craigslist. The original owner bought it with the intention of starting lessons but got around to it.
We're having an octave mando player over to play in the group on Thursday. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

We've watched thru Episode 3. My manager was walking down the stairs in the House shot, but no close-up yet (or credit)

The pictures hung in the Maryland (Annapolis)State house during the voting scene were all covered by big blue US seals. We got a kick out of that.
