I made a mistake of buying a rosewood churchwarden recently. Will never buy a pipe made from that again.
But it's a very long stem, the whole pipe is 14 inches.
I really like a cooler smoke, not sure what it is about it but the taste is a little different.
Anyone else have a preference or can recommend a brand that does a good churchwarden?
I ask mainly for the sake of durability, a churchwarden seems to be often the first one to crack or break.

lots of company make them, if you want a cheap one mr brog makes some out of pear, which in my experience smokes well, and his break down into three peices, for a more expensive one, i have seen some boswells that are nice, and some savs that are nice

Lawrence, what is that pipe on the bottom?
It is a souvenir pipe from the Painted Desert.

My Grandfather bought that in 1957 or 58.

It has decal of an American Indian (obviously), but what isn't so obvious is that it is made of pine.

The one pipe I have that will never be smoked... again.

Hey Lawrence, what is the best place to have this done? I have read that Norwood Pipe Repair and Boswells will do it. Anyone else I should know about?
