I agree. With what humans have done to the environment things will steadily get worse.
Fortunately, the data don’t seem to support increased frequency.

In any case, praying for those affected. Truly terrible and devastating.

Glad our members are ok. Sending our prayers also.

The storms rolled through the Piedmont of North Carolina around 5:00. High winds pulled up Christmas decorations that were staked down and the rain blew sideways. Knocked the power out for a couple hours and it was just restored 10 minutes ago. @FurCoat , heads up! It’s heading your way!

Weakened significantly once it got to my neck of the woods. I'm very thankful considering the potential of the front.

We made it through the day with very minor & repairable wind damage.
Us, too. Just a couple large branches down in the back yard, the one that fell on the roof actually blew off again. Too small to do any damage, I hope. My neighbors anemometer got a couple gusts over 50, one at 57.

I have family on the Lakeshore near Fairport Harbor and they said it was blowing like mad up there. 60+, maybe 70.

Nothing compared to an EF5 though. My god...

You okay neighbor?
We are just fine, my friend. Got a little dicey once or twice here in Versailles. And I basically stayed up following the storms in case I need to wake all the girls and get to shelter. Thankfully, the bad stuff missed up.

You guys good over in Mt. Sterling? I was actually thinking about you while I watching Chris Bailey’s coverage.

There’s a family in our church who have some family out in Mayfield. They all survived, fortunately. But they were directly impacted.

And we have some family in Bowling Green who are doing fine. But parts of that town got blown to pieces as well.

Other than everyone's outdoor decorations being in everyone else's yards and a few fallen limbs, we pulled through it.?
