Horrible way to start Spring break

So we went on a field trip today and I had a 2 pipes (a Grabow grand duke and a MM cob) confiscated. As well as a tin of Orlik Golden Slice, some altadis Irish cream and a pack of djarm blacks. The best part is that the last time I went on a field trip the teacher complimented my on the smell then left.So without being told that I can't smoke I had everything taken.

Seriously? Are you over 18? If so I would have told them to stick it, its your own choice to smoke pipes or not. A professor in one of my subjects smokes pipes and on our field trip a few of us lit up together.

Teacher: Help! I have a bleeding stump where my arm used to be!

Me: Don't know how that happened...field trips over for me. (Leaves)

LOL Oh Good Lord mate! A Teacher took your pipes and tobacco? You are not 15 yrs old in Grade School. Teacher has no moral or legal right to take them. I would be having them back right quick!

You're not giving enough info, such as if that there is a written rule somewhere that states tobacco and associated products can be confiscated. Typically, schools cannot keep what they confiscate. I'd push back.

whats the tobacco laws in your state, jersey has to be 19, PA where I go to school is 18, so I had some leeway. Like others say, they cant hold them, but you should definitely do more research on what the rules are

Yeah they won't let me talk to her for whatever reason. I have to ask my parents to do it for me. Which really bothers me because Jen (the director) is actually a friend of mine.

wow, terrible story. You need to push the issue just to teach the school a lesson. They have no right to do that. I don't understand why they wouldn't talk to a student. It's like they have zero respect for an 18 year old student.
Here's what you should do. Since your an adult at 18 Ask your teacher who she's going to vote for in the upcoming presidential election. After she's told you who, tell her your going to vote against her and cancel her vote. haha
