Just wanted to dip in and say hello. I recently picked up pipe smoking and this forum has been a wonderful source of info. Originally from Austin, TX but now hang my hat in the tropical paradise that is South-Central Michigan. I love to fly fish and enjoy the idea of merging my two hobbies this Spring! Currently infatuated with rough-cut Kentucky burley tobacco but I am enjoying english and aromatic tobaccos as well.

Welcome from central N.C. Family had a "summer farm" northeast of Muskegon where they would ride the ferry from the North Shore of Chicago. No running water or electricity, a pioneer experience to them. I camped there as a high school kid. Holton was the little crossroads town.

Welcome. I'm a Michigander - how do you define "south central"? I'd think of that as maybe Calhoun, Jackson, Branch, and Hillsdale counties.
