Very pretty grain, nice lines, birdseye on the heal, asymmetrical plateau crown.....I can't see anything wrong, especially for a first. Love it!?

Looks fantastic! Well done!

I have a couple hobby blocks sitting on my desk waiting for me. Will make a first attempt soon, maybe this weekend.

Don’t tell some people that!

it actually smokes really well. The bowl is huge but it burns well. Has a 9mm filter because at the time I got the block I only smoked filter pipes. Though with this bowl size I really don’t mind it ?

Been working with wood since puberty. J/k ;)

Thanks for the compliment. I do have some woodworking experience and a wood shop in the basement that was my dad’s. They moved to a new house and we bought their old one so I inherited some things. It’s a little different though for me as making the pipe is a lot more by “feel” and gambling that you aren’t going to reveal a huge sandpit. Normally you can just measure/cut/sand etc and make your project.
