While I was putting my latest shipment from Country Squire into jars, I was telling my wife about the order from Boswell's due in tomorrow when she told me she was going to call the Hoarders crew and see if they would be interested in a tobacco hoarders' segment.

This got me to wondering, and I thought I'd run it by the forum. How many of us would qualify as a tobacco hoarder? How many would be interested in a tobacco/pipe hoarding tv show? Hey, I get to wondering about strange things sometimes.

Hoarding is just buying for the sake of it. Cellaring is buying for future use and to hedge against discontinued blends and price increase. Tins have been above what I would pay for them for a few years now but I have lots of tins of blends that are now long discontinued.

I always joked that once the “American Pickers” crew finished filming at a location, the “Hoarders” crew would show up. Fine line between hoarding and collecting. All about presentation, so keep those cellars tidy! 😆
So true. I love American Pickers. In a fantasy world, that’s me. I do nothing remotely close to it, but I love that show and cool old stuff. Yes, there are some fine lines between hoarders and some collectors.

in other words we got tobacco hoarders here. Oh I'll smoke that some day or use it in a trade.
"You mean the dried out tobacco the cat shit in?"
"Oh it's still good got lots of plume" hoarder that is insisting it's a cellar not a hoard.
