My first horse track experience, in my sixties, was at Saratoga, about 12 years ago, when the track looked incredibly well kept, a real beauty spot. I'm sorry to hear it has slipped. My second track experience was at Belmont on a weekday. The train was late, and the escalator backed up and dumped a bunch of us on top of each other, but with no injuries. So we all got to know each other. After that it was a good day.

Ah, I usually get there around 11. Maybe they do not clean up until next morning.
