Stopped smoking 16-years ago. Curiosity led me to a tobacconist recently who set me up with a corncob and a local blend with some Latakia. Slowly building up my taste awareness with Virgina and burley.

I once carried 4-brands of cigarettes at the same time. I have maybe a dozen types each of incense and beard balm. Thinking it's possible folks here would understand.

Oh. My professional life was similarly diverse; my last job was as a pediatric RN.

Thanks for letting me in, guys.

lol. American Road Trip. Really Very Cool book! Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov were two journalists from Odessa. One of their books was even turned into a mediocre movie by Mel Brook. Their collaborations were frequently published under the name Tolstoyevsky.
Ha! I read that one. Didn't know their Tolstoyevsky was their pseudonym.

Most people forget about us: one of the great things about living here ;)

I know that isn’t what you meant: I’m trying to distract from admitting that I’ve never heard them. I should do that some day.
Helps if you're beered up. 2nd Week of Deer Camp and their Jingle Bells type song (Rusty Chevrolet?) are what we'd occasionally play. But the best yooper movie I've seen is Escanaba in da Moonlight. A Jeff Daniels creation where he stars as The Buckless Yooper; also with the awesome Harve Presnell.

Oh yeah, I remember “Rusty Chevrolet” from back in the 80s. I didn’t realize that they also run the Tourist Trap, a great souvenir shop over by Ishpeming. My wife and I go there several times a year: she likes the clothing side, and I like the rock shop. It’s a fun place to visit, if you’re in the area.
