My name is Joel. Nice to be exposed to a wider pipe community. I’m 24 years old and a steady smoker and modest pipe maker. It all started for me at Danny boys pipes at Ohio ren faire where I picked up a Mitchell Thomas church warden. Siting around with my friends not saying a word, absolutely clueless how to pack and light, it was a serene experience. I fell in love. My MT warden is still my sentimental first smoker. After a wile of wanting to start a collection, I became curious as to how pipes were made. To summarize, I ordered a pre drilled kit. Then eventually bought a lathe, a PIMOs guide and went at it. Little by little and pipe to pipe I’ve been applying learned techniques and hope to keep making pipes I myself would want to have in my collection. I enjoy the design/crafting process and seeing other makers craftsmanship and styles as well. I’ll attach a pic of one of my works currently for sale for critic.
