Nice to see you back, Toker! Hey, all work is honorable, and I happen to love truck drivers. I find them to be the best drivers on the road, and I'll tell you why: Awareness. They are aware of you and communicate with you.
You ask a trucker to let you in and he notices. He might say no, but he notices. Ask an idiot doing 80 in his SUV talking and fiddling with his damn TV screens to let you in and he thinks, 'You know, I think I like anchovies after all'. Truckers say please and thank you (most of the time), and know what the speed limit is, though they might ignore it. But you don't get the moron doing 55 in the 65, that enters the 45 in town and stays at 55, to ensure you can't pass him while you have the chance.
Plus, they can drive those things down hills in the snow, and back them up to a loading dock. You can tell I love truckers.
If your route ever takes you round the corner to Grand Prairie, you are welcome at my house for a bowl or two. PM me if you ever need the address; I have your cell phone number if it hasn't changed.
