Starting to Get Obsessed
Early next month will be our first visit to the state of Pennsylvania. We will be up in Reading, PA to watch a long-time personal friend of mine drive his NHRA Nitro Funny Car. Looking at the map, Hershey PA is only 50 miles from where we will be. Being chocolate lovers, it seems this may be worth taking an extra day off to visit Hershey's Chocolate World.
Anyone familiar with this area? If so, any other must see/do things, attractions, places to eat, etc. I'm thinking early-October may be a visual treat for us with the Fall colors/leaves turning. Again, this being our first visit any/all recommendations are welcomed!
Thanks in advance,

Bruce

+1 on the Auto museum.
Fall Hershey at the park is 10/10 - 10/13. It is the largest auto memorabilia market event in the world. You'll never take it all in during the three day event, get a map and pick what items you want to see. The "Car Corrall" on Saturday, around the stadium is AMAZING, literally every car from 18XX to 198X is represented. You have to drive the car to enter. Two years ago, I watched a gentleman drive in a Chrysler Turbine show car from the late 50's. I'll be there on Saturday.
Boswells Pipe show is an hour south in Chambersburg (Exit/Mile Marker 18 on I-81). Wingenroths shop in downtown Lebanon is also worth a stop and closer.

About an hour east of Hershey is America On Wheels museum. Always something cool and very interactive for kids. They also have a 1950's soda fountain upstairs where you can get shakes, ice cream sundaes and the like. Well worth the detour.
