Here we go Again .. Pulling the Trigger

I haven't bought a pipe in forever and a day. Actually I did find some nifty trinkets at an antique store this summer, a v cutter, a couple of baskets, a chacom, a GBD, a twin holder crystal pipe holder ... just as an added bonus to the furniture I bought from this antique's dealer I know. But no serious acquisition since February 2021. Right now I came across this vintage Luigi Viprati, which I date to the 80s. It's so weird that I would really love to have ... for smoking, more than collecting. What do you guys think it's worth?

How much are they asking for? I'm not good at estate pipes. I'll go as high as $70US. Or 20% lower than what the dealer is asking for.

He is not sure what to ask, he is not specialized in pipes - he just gets them on inventory every so often. He posted me a link to a Viprati silver band cavalier with a spigot system, brand new EUR 350. This one is not worth that by a long shot. Although I am guessing anywhere around EUR 50-EUR 100. I really never dealt with vipratis before. So I figured the Italian Hand Made gurus of the group would give me a hand.

I would say $50 is a fair price is its gonna have to be cleaned, buffed, reamed, and sanitized so you can't expect to get retail estate prices.

I may go see it in person next week. Although rusiespyles may be right ... there is some effort in it to make it look in decent condition, so probably no more than EUR 50.
