Just read an article that said this storm will break the record set in 1916 for the most named storms to hit the US in a single storm season / year.

Hang in there.
A couple of weeks ago Greece had its first recorded cyclone, and in the last 5 years at least there's been a slew of braking of records for unseasonably warm temperatures. It's most definitely not climate change though.

Four years of record braking heat in S Louisiana in a row. Got up to 90 degrees today! Draught conditions persist. Use to be early Fall was green and lush. Not anymore.

no matter what it is something is certainly changing and it certainly seems wide spread. God I miss summers that got cold at night and didn't start making me sweat buckets none stop for over three months. And I also miss when there would be a few heavy rain storms but mostly drizzles for a long time. Not dry to the point of using a wind cap on the pipe to not start a brush fire and then lots of minor flooding.
